Australian owned and operated. Evidence-led. Accountable.
Infrastructure decisions stay with a building long after installation. The products selected, the installation practices followed and the evidence accepted at handover all affect what happens next.
CERTECH stands for CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGIES. We supply structured cabling and ICT infrastructure solutions, supported by Australian technical expertise, installer training and Performance Assurance Certification. We work with architects, consultants, contractors, installers, distributors and asset owners to reduce uncertainty throughout a project and provide a clear basis for long-term support.
Our name carries an expectation: technical claims supported by facts, compliance supported by evidence and commitments backed by accountable decisions.
THE CERTECH STANDARD puts that expectation into practice. Every person. Every project. Every day. We do not take shortcuts. We do the work required to stand behind the outcome.
OUR COMMITMENT
CERTECH applies the Australian regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the products and systems we supply and assess. We identify the applicable requirements for the product, system configuration and project, and distinguish these from additional CERTECH acceptance conditions.
THE CERTECH STANDARD makes evidence of conformity central to our decisions. Claims must be supported, and unresolved compliance issues must be addressed before system acceptance.
We set clear requirements, help installers understand them and work with project teams to resolve problems.
Commercial pressure does not change our technical acceptance criteria. A project deadline, sales opportunity or established relationship does not justify overlooking an unresolved issue.
Where submitted evidence does not meet the applicable requirements, the affected links remain unaccepted for certification until those issues are resolved.
This can mean additional investigation, rectification or retesting. Addressing problems before acceptance helps protect the installer’s work, the consultant’s specification and the customer’s investment. We support installers in meeting the requirements. We do not take shortcuts around them.
Australian Ownership and Local Accountability
CERTECH is an Australian owned and operated business. Our customers have direct access to the Australian team supporting their projects and standing behind our commitments.
We provide product selection assistance, technical documentation, installer training, certification assessment and warranty support. Australian-held stock and local supply coordination help project teams plan delivery and respond to changing requirements.
We work with manufacturing and supply partners to deliver products suited to Australian requirements, with responsibility for our commitments retained by CERTECH in Australia.
Through local expertise, installer development and ongoing customer support, we contribute to the capability available to Australian projects.
Australian Compliance
CERTECH is registered as a Responsible Supplier under Australia’s communications equipment regulatory framework administered by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
We take responsibility for identifying the regulatory requirements applicable to our products, maintaining supporting compliance evidence and supplier declarations, and meeting applicable labelling obligations.
For customer cabling products within scope, this includes AS/CA S008 requirements under the applicable ACMA technical standard. Relevant products carry the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) or another permitted compliance label.
Our technical framework also addresses:
| AS/CA S009 | Installation requirements for customer cabling |
| AS 11801 series | Generic cabling requirements and relevant component, link and channel performance |
| AS/NZS 14763.2 | Installation planning, quality assurance and documentation |
| AS/NZS 14763.3 | Testing of installed optical fibre cabling |
| IEC 61935-1 | Field testing of installed balanced copper cabling |
Requirements are applied according to the exact product, configuration, installation environment and project specification.
Product compliance, installation compliance and verified system performance each require appropriate evidence. CERTECH supports these through relevant documentation, installation guidance and certification requirements.
Responsible Supplier registration and product labelling do not constitute ACMA approval of an installed system.
Evidence and Technical Decisions
Our technical claims and acceptance decisions must be supported by relevant evidence.
Product documentation, compliance records, installation information and native test data provide the basis for assessment. Where evidence is incomplete or inconsistent, we investigate before reaching a conclusion.
We distinguish mandatory regulatory obligations, project specifications and additional CERTECH certification requirements. This helps project teams understand what is required, who is responsible and how acceptance will be assessed.
Reducing Project Risk
Design and Specification
We assist with product selection, system configurations and technical submissions, considering the application, performance requirements, environmental conditions and installation constraints.
Where suitability depends on a particular configuration or condition, we identify that dependency so it can be addressed before products are ordered and installed.
Installation and Testing
Our Certified Installer program combines copper and fibre education with practical installation, termination and testing guidance.
Cabling work must be performed or directly supervised by appropriately registered cablers with the competencies required for the work.
CERTECH Certified Installer status is a manufacturer approval. It does not replace cabling registration, required competencies or project-specific qualifications. Installer approval and system acceptance remain subject to CERTECH’s documented requirements.
Training addresses standards compliance, cable handling, cable pathways, installation practice, termination, tester configuration and the records required for certification. CERTECH quality plans establish the testing and acceptance requirements for eligible installations.
Verification and Acceptance
A passing test summary is part of the evidence required for system acceptance. It does not, by itself, establish compliance with every installation, documentation and project requirement.
CERTECH assesses the submitted test results and supporting records against the applicable requirements and documented acceptance criteria. Missing information, inconsistencies and unresolved results must be investigated and addressed before the affected links are accepted.
CERTECH requires a completed TCA1 form as part of its system acceptance submission. This is a CERTECH submission requirement supporting the cabler’s obligation to provide a compliant certification statement.
The certification statement, performance test results and project records serve different purposes. Each required document must be supplied before CERTECH completes its acceptance assessment.
The assessment scope is defined by the documentation, test data and other verification activities undertaken.
Warranty Support
Eligible installations accepted by CERTECH are supported by the CERTECH 25-Year System Performance Warranty, covering eligible parts and labour under its written terms.
Certification requires standards compliance, approved components, an eligible CERTECH Certified Installer, satisfactory testing, supporting documentation and CERTECH’s acceptance of the submission.
The issued certificate identifies the warranted scope. Requirements for records, maintenance and subsequent modifications are set out in the warranty terms and help preserve traceability throughout the installation’s life.
Standard product warranties and certified-system warranties are separate. The applicable documents and issued certificate define coverage, commencement, exclusions and the claims process.
Governance and Accountability
Clear requirements, controlled documents and recorded decisions underpin consistent assessment.
Our approach connects nominated products, installation records, submitted test data, review findings and the accepted warranty scope.
Technical acceptance decisions must be supported by recorded evidence and made by authorised personnel. Commercial relationships and sales considerations do not override those decisions.
Mandatory requirements cannot be waived. Commercial pressure, installer preference or a project deadline does not justify bypassing an applicable requirement.
Proposed changes to approved products or system configurations must be assessed against the applicable requirements and receive the necessary written approvals before implementation. The assessment and decision must be recorded. CERTECH approval does not replace approval required from a customer, consultant or other relevant authority.
We explain our findings, identify outstanding issues and retain the evidence supporting acceptance. Technical findings, installer feedback and project experience inform improvements to our products, training and processes. We apply the same discipline to improving our own work that we expect on a customer’s project.

Responsible Procurement
APCO Beyond Best Practice
CERTECH achieved “Beyond Best Practice” for Overall Performance in its 2025 Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) reporting, the highest performance level within APCO’s Packaging Sustainability Framework.
This reflects our commitment to improving packaging design, procurement and management across our supply chain.
Our priorities include reducing unnecessary packaging, replacing single-use plastics where practicable, increasing recyclable cardboard packaging and supporting material reuse and recovery.
Our eligible fibre reel take-back program extends that approach beyond delivery, recovering serviceable reels for reuse and directing unsuitable reels to appropriate recycling pathways.
For customers, these activities provide supporting evidence for responsible procurement assessments and supplier sustainability reviews.
GECA-Authenticated PVC-Free LSZH Cabling
CERTECH offers nominated Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cables with a “PVC Free” claim authenticated by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA).
Independent authentication provides evidence for the specific material claim, helping customers and specifiers assess products against procurement requirements.
Claims about smoke generation, halogen content and fire performance are limited to the properties and conditions supported by the relevant product test reports.
GECA authentication applies to the products and environmental claims identified in the authentication documentation. Environmental authentication and fire-performance testing provide different evidence and are described accordingly.
Project Sustainability Reporting
Where applicable, CERTECH project sustainability summaries record installed materials, reel returns, reuse and recycling outcomes.
These records give customers an account of the activities undertaken on their project, alongside the technical documentation supporting performance assurance and warranty acceptance.
Ask about the product evidence. The installation requirements. The test data. The acceptance decision. The warranty scope.
THE CERTECH STANDARD. Ask us for the evidence.
