Eliminating Single-Use Plastics
Packaging waste is one of the most significant contributors to landfill and ocean pollution. CERTECH has removed plastic bags from key product lines and now uses recyclable cardboard packaging designed to reduce material waste and environmental impact.
What We’ve Changed:
- Keystone Jacks are now packaged in a single compact, recyclable cardboard tray instead of 12 separate plastic bags, significantly reducing packaging waste and speeding up installation.
- Patch Leads We’ve replaced traditional packaging with a custom cardboard hang cell design that’s fully recyclable and significantly reduces material usage.
- Product labelling is simplified to reduce ink and adhesive waste
The result? Reduced environmental impact, quicker installations, and a smarter, more efficient experience on site. Watch how we redesigned our keystone jack packaging to eliminate plastic and streamline the installation process.

Sustainable Materials
We’ve eliminated PVC and high-smoke plastic compounds from key product lines, including our Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cabling range, reducing toxic exposure in both everyday and high-risk environments.
Our products are:
- GECA-certified, independently verifying their environmental, health, and social impact
- Designed to support Green Star and NABERS targets
- Aligned with RoHS and REACH international safety directives
Circular Practices
CERTECH is a proud member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). As part of this initiative, we contribute to national packaging recovery targets and share knowledge to help other manufacturers transition to more sustainable packaging.
We don’t just want to lead the change; we want to make it easier for others to follow.
