Most of the rubbish we throw away each day comes from product packaging. Around 1.5 million tons of waste comes from paper packaging, while over 13 million tons of waste are from plastic packaging.
Environmentally Responsible
At CERTECH our plan is to implement eco-friendly practices that cut down carbon footprint and reduce plastic wastes that end up in landfills or the ocean.
CERTECH strives to provide a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, continually supporting and contributing to the IT industry to encourage others to copy our initiatives and manufacture environmentally responsible products and services.
Within our industry, we will be leaders in eliminating plastic and waste. We ask our partners to support our initiative and challenge the market to adopt this system as a norm. This is the first in a series of steps to minimise or eliminate all plastics from our product range. Plus, it will significantly reduce preparation time. It is a win-win for all.

New Packaging
KEYSTONE JACKS - NEW SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
We have designed an innovative packaging concept to eliminate the single-use plastic bags that keystone jacks were once packaged in.
Before when you purchased 12 jacks you would receive them individually packaged in plastic bags. That means you would have a total of 12 plastic bags to throw into landfill. When it's a large project that requires upwards of 100 keystone jacks that is 100+ plastic bags with the potential to end up in our waterways. Due to this concern, this recyclable packaging design was born.
Not only is the new packaging design environmentally conscious but it also saves the installer time as there is no more need to individually unwrap each jack. We aimed to deliver a design that benefits both the environment and our consumers and we believe we have been successful in doing so.

Ethernet Cable Patch Leads - NEW SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Plastic bags just became the norm, the cheapest option when it came to packaging a product. We wanted to see a change to this mindset so we decided to start creating our own packaging designs that would eliminate the need for single-use plastic bags and create more environmentally responsible packaging.
Ethernet Patch Leads would normally come in a plastic bag. The issue with this is that as a supplier this would mean we would be sending out thousands upon thousands of bags into our environment each year. With our new Patch Leads packaging we have removed the need for plastic bags with a cardboard hang cell design that is not only recyclable but responsibly designed to reduce the amount of material used to package the product.
